MARCH 12, 2 Peter 1:7

Have you read this poem?

Kind hearts are the gardens,
kind thoughts are the roots.

Kind words are the flowers, kind deeds are the fruits.

Take care of your garden,
and keep out the weeds.

Fill it up with sunshine,
kind words and kind deeds.

If we are godly, we will automatically be kind. This kindness is not just courtesy or being nice to others, it springs from a changed heart, a soul touched by the love of Christ. If a person is really godly, he will know God will want him to be kind and giving. And this kindness is of a practical nature.

True religion is not just about missions work to some remote villages, or meditation of God’s Word. A truly godly person will care for the poor and needy, be kind to the weak and slow.

Has anyone said you are kind? If yes, why were you considered kind? If no one has mentioned you are kind, what are some of the reasons you believe that is so?

How can children show kindness to one another at the playground?

Perhaps you can think of a few ways.

Thought: May I be kind!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me a kind and caring heart. Remind me that as Jesus was kind, so should I be, for it is in his precious name I pray, amen.
